The Barhan intelligence operatives were stunned to find an ophidian temple beneath the foundations of the former mint. They followed countless twisted corridors, guided by a litany coming from the heart of the labyrinth.
After a long walk they finally reached the sanctuary, a circular, overheated room at the center of which stood the statue of a reptile-god. Bowing slaves were singing praise to the master of the place, a huge ophidian who slowly unsheathed his two swords when he glimpsed the victims of his next sacrifice.
The ophidian vortirans are of the kind of fighters whose majesty and might are never forgotten by those who behold them. They are able to slaughter everything standing in their way.
