The Nisses were mythological creatures, domestic elves who protected the Scandinavian farms. Although friendly in appearance, they possessed superhuman strength and their wrath could be terrible when they were contradicted. The Panoceanian Nisses are the battle-hardened members of the Tactical Assault Group from Svalarheima, designated for protection and Advanced Force operations. Their appearance may not be as friendly as their mythological namesake, but their wrath and strength are just as terrifying. The Nisses receive special training to be able to work in frozen habitats. Their home-planet, Svalarheima, possesses an implacably hostile climate. Having to fight in a cold climate, whether it is ice deserts, tundra or mountains, drains the energy of the best soldiers and saps their fighting spirit. The intense cold reduces the fighters resistance, making them clumsy and careless. In such an adverse environment, the smallest error can be fatal. Nevertheless the Nisses are all-terrain veterans; none of this affects them, on the contrary, it makes them more lethal. When the storm breaks, nobody wants to venture out in search of the enemy. The Nisses, on the other hand, dont fear the storm, because they themselves are the storm.
