Rare are the Dwarves that have the qualities needed to handle a steam Bombard. The power freed when firing is such that a Dwarf that is not careful enough can be thrown back several metres. Right before firing, the artilleryman plants his feet as firmly as possible onto the ground and tenses all his muscles. Only after many years do some especially resistant and tough Dwarves manage to use a Bombard without a servant’s assistance.
